Universitat de València's emergency statement regarding the DANA situation

Universitat de València's technic services and security services informed the Emergency Committee that the university's centres in the UV campuses are already active after the latest hours of the DANA.
State and community authorities keep us updated on the emergency situation that persists on the DANA's impact over Valencian territory.
Right now, transport infrastructures and pathways are greatly affectes and emergency sevices keep working on accessing the critical zones in order to support the victims of the catastrophe, which has already taken several lives according to recent reports.
Due to the circumstances and the authorities managing the crisis in València, the Principal and the Directive Council have coordinated with the Emergency Committee of Universitat de València and agreed to keep the level 3 state of alert for the 30 and 31 October in the UV.
This level calls off all classes, investigation activities, cultural activities, administration and management within the campuses and UV centres. Only basic functioning and maintenance in critical zones is allowed.
UV's Emergency Committee will keep the community updated on the situation and the state of alert level.

The Principal, Directive Council and UV Emergency Committee are greatly thankful for the hard work of technicians and security personnel of the UV, the emergenci services of the GVA, state, community and local police and security forces, Civil Protection and Emergency Unit.
