The Universitat organises an event to recognise the experience of the teaching, researching and administrative personnel

The Principal of the Universitat de València, Mª Vicenta Mestre, has presided over this recognition event in the Assembly Hall inside the building of the Office of the Principal. The Vice-principal for Teaching Staff and Academic Planning, Ernest Cano; the manager of the institution, Juan Vicente Climent; the deputy manager for Economy, Inmaculada Santaemilia; and the deputy manager for Human Resources and Administrative organisation, José Ramírez have been present at the event, too.

An institutional recognition has been made to the Teaching and Researching Personnel (PDI) and the Administrative Officials (PAS) who have retired from the University. 91 people have retired during the academic course 2017-2018.

In addition, a recognition has been awarded to the members of the teaching, researching and administrative personnel that have been working for 40 years at the university. Thus, the Principal has awarded 30 members of the teaching and researching staff as well as 20 administrative officials with a diploma because of their long career at the Universitat de València.

Finally, the researching personnel who has obtained six six-year periods of research was publicly recognised. 259 professors have completed a six six-year period. 19 of them were lecturers.

The Principal Mª Vicenta Mestre expressed her gratitude to all the university officials because of their work and dedication to the academic institution. “I thank you for your work during all these years. It has been important and necessary and I ask you if you want to continue your collaboration with the university. We will always be grateful for your dedication because it will guarantee the quality of our services,” stated Mestre.

“Your legacy is inestimable because it proves that the university would not have improved without your excitement, motivation and conviction at work,” highlighted Mestre. Additionally, the Principal addressed the important role of research because it achieves the goals of the Universitat de València: being a public university for education, research and the transfer of knowledge to our society.
