On the 5 and 6 of October, the Faculty of Philology, Translation and Communication will hold the Conference of Deans’ Offices of the University Centres with Arts and Humanities degrees (ADEAH). The event will welcome fifty deans and specialists from all over the Spanish State, who will meet during the days of the conference to discuss issues related to the study of Arts and Humanities, as well as to establish and share good university management practices, to identify problems regarding these particular study fields and to elaborate strategies that will guarantee their continuation and adaptation to the new pedagogical and employment needs.

The programme consists of five panel discussions where the following topics will be addressed: Artificial Intelligence and teaching methodologies: challenges and possibilities; Management strategies in Humanities centres: shared experiences; Where are the Humanities headed? New professional profiles and opportunities; Student representation in the Arts and Humanities degrees; and Challenges for Spanish universities regarding the Organic Law of University System (LOSU).

The Association of Deans’ Offices of the University Centres with Arts and Humanities degrees (ADEAH) was founded in 2019 with the aim of giving legal basis to the Conference of Deans’ Offices of Arts and Humanities, which has been held on a yearly basis for twenty-eight consecutive editions.

The Association has been formed in order to serve as a representative before the public authorities in relation to all the issues that affect the teaching of the degrees that belong to the branch of Arts and Humanities.

The objectives of this Association are the development, improvement and coordination of Arts and Humanities studies through the creation of forums for debate and exchange open to all Spanish citizens on issues of interest to the aforementioned degrees.
