For the 2026-2027 academic year, the Universitat de València offers 9.019 places of new admission (for the first year of the different degrees) that have been covered in the 99.7 %. In the first day of classes, 36.970 students of undergraduate degree attended the centre. In the following weeks, 6.736 students will enter official master’s degree and specific degrees (of which 4.853 enrolments will be for official master’s degrees, a number that will be increasing throughout this month).

Similarly, it also happens with doctorate students, whose enrolment remains opened and the Universitat will count the total number starting in October.

The anticipated global number is approximately of 50.000 students in the 2026-2027 academic year, taking also into account the incorporation of Erasmus, International and SICUE programmes.

The Universitat de València is the university with the widest academic offer of the Higher Education public system –59 degrees and 16 double degrees. In addition, it offers more than a hundred official master’s degrees and more than 60 doctorate programmes.

The Vice-rector for Studies and Quality, Javier Roca, expressed the university’s satisfaction with the numbers that answer to a training demand of society, after becoming, once again, the first choice of the applicants to enter in the Valencian public university system, which is a preference with national and international repercussion. 

International leadership

In this sense, 2.217 Erasmus students have been incorporated –a number that surpasses last year’s for more than a hundred. Soon, 101 of the International Programme and 251 of SICUE will also be incorporated, but the total mobility of students from the UV surpasses 5.000 people, since other 2.531 students will stay in other universities this year –2.224 through Erasmus, 104 through the International Programme and 203 through SICUE.

These are numbers that reaffirm the European leadership of the Valencian academic institution and they place it at the top of mobility programmes.
