The Clinic has refurbished its facilities and acquired a new chair to facilitate dental care and treatment for patients with reduced mobility
The Principal of the Universitat de València, M. Vicenta Mestre; the manager of the Universitat de València, Juan Vicente Climent; the president of COFIVA (Coordinating Committee of People with Physical Functional Diversity of the Valencian Region), Adolfo Conesañ the director of the Lluís Alcañiz Foundation, José Manuel Almerich; main director of Primary Care and Personal Autonomy of the Generalitat Valenciana, Mercé Martínez; and the director of the Special Patients Unit of the Dental Clinic, Francisco Silvestre have visited the facilities of the Special Patients Unit to observe and learn first-hand about the new features provided by the new dental chair adapted for patients with reduced mobility.
This seat has an innovative system capable of adapting to different wheelchairs in order to facilitate dental treatments and care. The installation of this chair means that patients who use a wheelchair do not have to get out of their chairs. Instead, the new dental chair quickly and comfortably positions and lifts the patient's wheelchair so that the user can receive treatment and care with as little discomfort as possible.
With this new technical addition, the Unit for Patients with Special Needs has two treatment spaces, a standard one for patients without mobility difficulties and another for those with mobility difficulties.
