The act took place on Monday, 16 June and was hosted by the Mayoress María José Catalá, who highlighted the 25 years of compromise of the Fundación Deportiva Municipal with the base sport of Valencia. In total, 24 awards were given and recognised the work of athletes, technicians, volunteers and many entities linked to the sport in the city. 

The director of the Sports Service, Ana María Gómez Tafalla, collected the award in the name of the UV and underlined the importance of this recognition, that finally comes after 'many years dedicating effort, excitement and a lot of team work’. She was grateful with the Fundación Deportiva Municipal of Valencia for the award and highlighted that 'it encourages us to continue betting for sport as a participation and development space for our students’.

This recognition highlights the importance of the compromise of the University with the training, participation and promotion of sport values, through their collaboration with the Oficina del Voluntariado Deportivo of OAM FDM of València since its creation.
