The UV recognises Ibero-American universities, university networks, cultural, healthcare and research institutions for its 525th anniversary

The ceremony, postponed due to the flood caused by the DANA, gathered a prominent representations from institutions with which the Universitat de València maintains close ties.

The Universitat de València is the first od in-person Spanish universities when it comes to number of disabled students. To this effect, it counts with collaboration agreements with different institutions, among which the Mira’m, FESORD, ASINDOWN, CERMI and Amigó foundations and the ONCE have been recognised.

In its cultural dimension, the Universitat de València collaborates in multiple ways with Valencian cultural institutions. As part of its 525th anniversary, the UV has recognised Caixa Fórum, the Bromera, Banncaixa, Goerlich, Per Amor a l’Art and Hortensia Herrero foundations, the museums of the College of High Silk Art, of Fine Arts of Valencia, the Carme Contemporary Culture Centre, the Valencian Museum of Enlightenment and Modernity and the Cultural Institute of Valencia.

Renowned for its push to dialogue and the exchange of ideas throughout the centuries, the Universitat de València has given recognition for their collaboration to the ETNOR and Professor Manuel Broseta foundations and to the Club de Encuentro Manuel Broseta.

And, on the research side, in which the Universitat de València stands out as the first Valencian university and the second in Spain, the UV maintains close ties of collaboration with the Carlos Simón foundation, INCLIVA and the Prince Felipe Research Centre, which have received institutional recognition along with the Clinical and La Fe Hospital, where the Universitat de València in addition to developing research activities, it develops teaching activities and educational practical sessions in the field of Health Sciences.

As a historical institution. the UV has also recognised prominent institutions from Valencian society such as the Festes de Sant Bult and the Tribunal de les Aigües de València.

In this ceremony, the Universitat de València has expressed the recognition to the collaboration in its UV instrumental public sector activities, consisting of the Lluís Alcanyís and the Science Park foundations, ADEIT and the General Foundation of the Universitat de València.

Together with these foundations, the Universitat de València has recognised the collaborations of the Cañada Blanch and the Carmen Izquierdo Besante foundations.

The UV has recognised the trajectory of collaboration of its assigned centres, Florida Secondary and University Education Centre and EDEM, and a group of 34 international universities and 32 Spanish universities.

Representing these universities, a relevant number of Principals from Ecuador, Peru, Colombia, Argentina and Mexico have attended.

Among them, the principal of the National University of San Marcos, one of the oldest Latin American universities and, among Spanish Principals, the ones from Valencian universities, both private and public, and from Pablo de Olavide University, the University of Oviedo, the University of the Balearic Islands, the University of Granada, the University of Seville and the Complutense University of Madrid.

In this ceremony, also, the Universitat de València has given recognition to university networks like UNIVERSIA/Santander Universidades, HACU (Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities), AUIP (Ibero-American Association of Postgraduate Universities), the Vives Network and CRUE, the Conference of Principals of Spanish Universities.
