UV Sports participates in the 26th Annual ENAS Forum in Belfast
- November 19th, 2024

The Sports Service of the Universitat de València participated from 10 to 15 November 2024 in the 26th Annual Forum of ENAS (European Network for Academic Sport Services) organised by the University of Ulster, which was held in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This meeting brings together university sport experts and professionals from all over Europe to exchange knowledge and good practices.
The opening day of the forum included a workshop on ‘Defining community in university sport’, which addressed how universities can create inclusive communities through sport. Professor Marie Murphy gave the conference ‘Generation Z looks to the future’, in which she analysed how to adapt sport activities to the new needs of young university students.
The Fórum ENAS offered several conferences on highly relevant topics, such as ‘Tools and strategies for participation’ and ‘Creating a sense of belonging’, issues in which the Universitat de València is actively involved. Examples of its commitment include the organisation of charity races, tournaments and university sports teams. In addition, sport activities, such as running and walking events, were organised to reflect the importance of sport in university life.
This event has been key to strengthen the relations of the UV Sports Service with other European universities. It has also been very useful to learn new strategies that will be applied in the future, with the aim of continuing to promote sport in the lives of students and in the University's sporting offer.
