The training courses that the labour union will teach will be free of charge and will count with the official certification of the Universitat de València.
This morning, UGT Serveis Públics and the Universitat de València signed a collaboration agreement for the joint implementation of training actions for the training and updating of the knowledge of the working staff in the service of public administrations. The agreement, which was signed by the principal of the Universitat de València, Mavi Mestre, and the general secretary of UGT Serveis Públics del País Valencià, Mayte Montaner, in an act celebrated at the Office of the Principal of the Universitat de València, includes a commitment for both parties to create a monitoring mixed commission that will solve problems that may arise from the agreement, as well as interpreting it and making sure it is followed.
From the moment the agreement is signed, the UGT, jointly with the Universitat, will be able to teach training courses with official certificates. According to the terms in the agreement, the training actions will be taught on-site, in blended format or on-line. As proposed by the aforementioned mixed commission, the Universitat de València will annually give the green light to the training actions that will be offered during that academic year. Criteria of proportionality, appropriateness and adaptation to the purposes of job improvement, as well as the professional development and promotion of public employees will be taken into account.
Meanwhile, UGT pledges to allot 10% of the training actions approved through this agreement to the working staff of the Universitat. The labour union will also present their roadmap to the mixed commission. The labour union will be in charge of the funding for the courses, which will be free of charge, and will hand the explanatory report of each of these actions to the Universitat. The Universitat will supervise these courses and will sign and issue the corresponding certificates.
