The UV will broadcast ‘TVmorfosis València 2024’ live for Spain and Latin America

On Thursday 12 September, the Spanish edition of TVmorphosis will be held, a session for meeting and reflection on the issues currently facing television. A number of Ibero-American content and media professionals and experts will debate on ‘Cross-media referentiality in today's media ecology’.
Tvmorfosis València 2024' will take place in the Sala Matilde Salvador de la Nau at the Universitat de València and will be broadcast live for all the media that are part of ATEI (Asociación de Televisiones Educativas y Culturales Iberoamericanas), thanks to the signal produced by the Audiovisual Workshop of the UV (TAU).
This 2024 edition is entitled ‘Cross-media referentiality in today's media ecology’. Ibero-American media executives as well as professionals and specialists in communication and audiovisual content will take part in the session, which will review the new trends that mark the contents and formats of today's media.
The Director of the Principal's Office and Director of Marketing and Communication at the UV, Joan Enric Úbeda, will be the academic head of this edition, which will feature several panels of shared experiences and specific case studies.
Professor Arnau Gifreu, from the Autonomous University of Barcelona, will give a lecture on the concepts of television self-referentiality and cross-media referentiality. Gifreu will participate in a subsequent panel discussion together with a group of Ibero-American media executives including Miquel Francés, President of the Governing Council of the Valencian Media Corporation, as well as Juan Aguilera (TV4, Guanajuato, Mexico) and Mauricio González (Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina).
Silvia Tomás, Director of Institutional Relations at Prensa Ibérica Comunidad Valenciana, and Elena Vilanova, Director of Content and Programming at À Punt Mèdia, will also participate in experience panels.
In TVmorfosis València 2024 there will also be space to screen the documentary produced by the UV El regreso de Aub. The presence of politics in audiovisual content and formats will be another of the topics to be discussed at a panel discussion with Gabriel Torres, Julián Giménez (SER CV), Alberto Fabián (Universidad Nacional de Mar de Plata, Argentina), Germán Pérez and Luis Felipe Hincapié (Canal 13, Bogotá, Colombia), the latter of whom will also give a talk entitled ‘One World, Infinite Connections’.
Finally, Javier Iványez and Jorge Luna will present their format ‘El escaparotEh de Eh! Universo Media', for subsequent discussion with Alexandra Falla (Fundación Patrimonio Fílmico Colombiano), Juan Aguilera and Alberto Fabián.
