Once more, the Faculty of Economics organises this forum, which celebrates its XVIII edition this year, as a platform to give value to the talents that come from the Universitat and to serve as a link between the students and the labour market (companies, organisations, institutions and public or private entities).

For this reason, the UV’s job agency will give a lecture, delivered by Mª José Torres, titled ‘Y tú… ¿qué quieres ser de mayor?’ (‘What do you want to be when you grow up’). The purpose is to show the students the need to use appropriate tools to reach the different professional goals they pursue. ‘They need to delve into their competences and make them known in order to achieve a guaranteed employability.

Besides, there will also be two stands so that all of the students who are interested may raise their doubts and enquiries about how to design their own CV or how to build their own brand at social networks. Both of them will be under the responsibility of UVocupació experts who will also offer general information about this service: ‘The CV is the first contact the applicants have with companies, organisations and institutions, that is why it is essential that they state clearly which are all of their competences’, says the coordinator of UVocupació.

Moreover, this conference will also be a way to show the university community all of the changes of UVocupació after its transformation: new name, new webpage and more detailed information, among other novelties.

Fòrum d’Ocupació i Emprenedoria Facultat d’Economia

On February 20th and 21st, the Faculty of Economics celebrates the XVIII Fòrum d’Ocupació i Emprenedoria with over 50 stands from companies, institutions and associations and an ambitious programme.

It has been organised by the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València and the financial support of Banc Sabadell, La Caixa, Santander, BBVA, Caixa Ontinyent, Mapfre, Banco Santander Chair for International Finance and the collaboration of the Valencia City Council, Labora and Agencia Tributaria.
