The Valencia Orchestra performs today in Serenates for the benefit of Acavall Foundation

The Valencia Orchestra gives today, 6 July, a concert in the festival Serenates. Under the direction of José Sanchís, the performance will be for the benefit of Acavall Foundation and it will have 16 musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia. The concert will start at 10.30pm in the Cloister of La Nau.

The concert will have the presence of flautists María Carrasco Conejero and Ana Maria Madolell Asensio, harpist Noelia Cotuna and clarinettists Josep Maria Alós Mínguez and Ferran Garcerá Perelló, from the Conservatorio Superior de Valencia, Velluters and students at the Valencia Orchestra. Likewise, 16 musicians from the Philharmonic Orchestra of the University of Valencia will play with the Orchestra. 

It will be a concert with a clear educative component. In this way, the audience could listen to ‘In the Steppes of Central Asia’ by Alexander Borodin; the ‘Concert for Two Flutes and Orchestra in G major, G 1077’ allegro, by Domenico Cimarosa; and the ‘Harp Concerto in A Major’ by Carl Ditters von Dittersdorf. They will also play Chaikovski’s ‘Il Convegno, op. 76’, de Amilcare Ponchielli y ‘El Cascanueces, suite, op. 71ª’.

It is organised by the Universitat de València and CulturArts and has the collaboration of the Valencia city council, AVL, the Escola d’Art i Superior de Disseny of Valencia, Bancaja Foundation and Sabadell Bank Foundation.
