The Valencian pedagogical and educational model, for discussion

The Universitat de València is the seat this Monday and Tuesday (23 and 24 April) of the XII Seminari Debat d’Idees Valencianistes that takes place in the Faculty of Philosophy and Education Sciences. The seminar, that pretends to reflect on the pedagogical and educational model of the País Valencià, is organised by the Associació Cívica Valenciana (ACV) Tirant lo Bland and the Bloc d’Estudiants Agermanats (BEA).

The aim of this meeting is to join specialists to address the present and the future prospects of some main issues that affect Valencian. Moreover, they propose to establish a forum for discussion of ideas to build a better society. In this occasion, the meeting focus on a unique topic that concerns to the organisation and is considered of vital importance for the improvement of Valencian society: the Valencian educational model and its pedagogical renovation.

The seasons are aimed at the general public, but with its location in the University is intended to bring them closer to a young and university public. It is also important for the professors and researches linked to the Pedagogy and Education and the management in the País Valencià.

The seminar has an important impact on the media and social networks (Twitter, Facebook, blogs, Youtube,...), with the objective to allow more participation and monitoring the debate at the social network Twitter, with the hashtag #semival18. In addition, in this twelfth edition will bet for the audio-visual format, with the recording of all content and the generation short videos for the networks to sum up the main ideas of the seminar.

Monday, 23 April REPENSEMOS COMO EDUCAR

- 18 h Opening of the Seminar (representative of Tirant and representative del BEA)

- 18:15 h Screening + debate of the documentary La Educación Prohibida, a documentary film that intends challenge the logic of modern schooling and the way to understand the education, highlighting different educative experiences, unconventional, that consider the need for a new educational paradigm.

Debate on the documentary: pedagogical renovation and new methodologies in the education:
