The Valencian team has won medals in the Spanish Mathematics Olympiad

The Valencian Community Estalmat team has won gold, silver and bronze medals in the Spanish Mathematics Olympiad that took place in Jaen on March 15 and 18. Félix Moreno Peñarrubia won the gold medal. Héctor Sanchis Pérez and Pablo Gómez Toribio have won silver medals. Juan Carlos Sánchez Bernal obtained the bronze medal. The Valencian team was also formed by Danyal Arshad and Leonardo Costa Lesage.
Felix Moreno, Pablo Gómez and Leonardo Costa are part of the Estalmat CV project. Leonardo Costa Lesage has been the only Key Stage 4 secondary school student participating in a competition aimed for sixth form students.
The prize-giving has been presided over by the Principal of the University of Jaén, Juan Gómez; the Vice-principal of the Student Body, Maria Luisa de Moral; and the president of the Royal Spanish Society of Mathematics, Francisco Marcellán; among other people.
