Víctor Herrera, nou coordinador de l’AGE

Víctor Herrera Latorre, student of the Degree in History, was elected last Wednesday as the new coordinator of the General Student Council of the Universitat de València (AGE). The AGE is the highest representative students body of the University, established in the Statutes of the institution.

The General Student Council (AGE) elected last Wednesday, 23rd February, Víctor Herrera Latorre as the new highest representative of the students of the Universitat.

Víctor Herrera Latorre (Utiel, 2000) is a student in the third year of the degree in History at the Faculty of Geography and History. He is a member of the School Board and vice-coordinator of the ADR of his Faculty. In 2021 he joined the Student Union SAÓ, with which he participated in the elections of the previous 18th November.

Its link with the university student movement was motivated by the aim of achieving "a closer, more open, ecological and feminist University, where the economic question is never an aspect of differentiation among the student body". In addition, the advocacy for feminism, the promotion of culture and sustainability within the Universitat, as well as the advocacy of the improvement of the conditions of student practices in their training, are the three main axes of their coordination.

The AGE meeting elected a new coordinating board made up of Víctor Herrera Latorre (coordinator), Natàlia París Aliena (vice-coordinator), Jeroni Riega Monge (secretary), Carlos Ibáñez Vives (treasurer), Nuria Aparisi Montagud (board member), Nexus Aguayo Oliva (board member) and Cristina Cuenca Expósito (board member).
