The visual artist and activist, Laura Domínguez, visits the Universitat.

The visual artist and activist, Laura Domínguez (Madrid, 1977), imparted this Tuesday the conference “Change the image to change the world”. The programmed activities by the Equality Unit took place at 19:00 at the Rector Peset Hall of Residence. The act was presented by María Such, the director of the Institute of Women and it is organised in cooperation with the “Círculo Feminista”,
Graduate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, Yolanda Domínguez has also a Master's degree in Art and New Technologies for the European University of Madrid and a Master's degree in Photography Concept and creation by the Photo School EFTI, Madrid.
Visual artist and activist, her creation do not appear in museum, but the travel around the world through social networks. The object, the recurrent topic of her work, is woman, genre stereotypes, inequality using a fresh and provocative language. She uses irony to create situations which force the viewer to participate, having a clear objective of raising awareness.
