The work of Umberto Eco, under analysis in a conference at the Universitat

This Wednesday, 1 March, the work of the writer Umberto Eco will be analysed at the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication of the Universitat. This free event will take place at 9:30 at the Salón de Grados. The dean of the faculty, Carles Padilla; the secretary of the Department of French and Italian, Andrea Bombi; and the organiser Juan Carlos de Miguel open the conference on Italian contemporary literature and culture.
In the morning, Justo Serna, Jenaro Talens, Charo Lacalle and Alesasandro Agostinelli will participate in the event, whereas Carmen F. Blanco, Paolino Nappi, Giampiero Pelegi and Juan Carlos de Miguel have their turn in the evening. All the speeches are intended to show and analyse the different facets of the Italian author. Thus, it will be talked about Eco as a young novelist, professor and columnist. Also, his work will be commented, for example, El nombre de la rosa’ or ‘Número Zero' (2015), his last novel.
