Joan Carles Membrado Tena He is tenure-track 1 professor at the department of Geography of the Universitat de València. He became doctor in geography in 1998 with a thesis titled “La indústria ceràmica de la Plana de Castelló. Estudi geogràfic” (The ceramic industry of La Plana de Castelló. Geographical study). Since then, he published quite a number of research articles about the ceramic industry, the toponymy of the Valencian Country and other aspects of the Valencian territory geography. He also published articles for the Acadèmia Valenciana de la Llengua, and he worked during a decade at the Institut Cartogràfic Valencià. In this way, he is also chief of initiatives of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the Universitat de València. As a professor he teaches “Cartography”, “Modelling techniques and geographical information systems” or “Landscape analysis techniques” among other subjects at the Faculty of Geography and History. |

Juan Piqueras Haba Doctor in Geography and History by the Universitat de València. Professor at the University since 1975 and Full university professor of Regional Geographical Analysis since 1990. Between 1990 and 2002 he also taught classes at the Topography School of the Universitat Politècnica. His doctoral thesis in 1980 was published in 1981 and has the title “La vid y el vino en el País Valenciano” (The vine and wine in the Valencian Country). In 1984 he was awarded with the National Prize of Agricultural Publications of the Ministry of Agriculture for his book “La agricultura valenciana de exportación” (The export Valencian agriculture), and one year later was awarded with the 1st Pasucal Carrión Prize for the book “La vitivinicultura valenciana ante la CEE y el mercado mundial” (Wine production in the EEC and the world market). Specialist in Regional, Historic and Economic Geography, published around twenty books and nearly one hundred articles, highlighting the works of the last years “El espacio valenciano. Una síntesis geográfica" (The Valencian space. A geographical syntesis) (1999) and "El legado de Baco. Historia de los vinos valencianos" (The Baco legacy. History of the Valencian wines) (2000). |

Carles Padilla Carmona As a assistant, tenured school professor and tenured university professor, successively, focused his teaching and research on the areas of Latin and Indo-European Linguistics and published numerous works. Padilla is currently dean of the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication of the Universitat de València. |

Amparo Ricós Vidal She is currently tenured university professor of the Spanish Language area at the Department of Spanish of the Faculty of Language Studies, Translation and Communication of the Universitat de València. Connected to this department since 1987, combined teaching and research in the areas of Spanish and Portuguese Languages areas. She became a doctor in Spanish Philology in 1994. Among her research lines outstand the Historical Syntax, the Historical Phraseology, Spanish for foreigners and the contrastive historical studies between Spanish and Portuguese. She also participated in several national and European research projects. |

José Luis Iglesias Buhigues He is a full university professor of the Department of International Law of the Universitat de València. He became graduated and doctor in this university. He is specialist in European Union Law, and emeritus full university professor of Private International Law. He worked at the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Granada, where he was Vice-Dean and Dean of the Faculty of Law, and at the University of Alicante where he also was Dean of his Faculty of Law and President of the Commission which made the statute of the University. During his wide professional career he also worked at the Académie de Droit International de la Haye, the Institut de Formation et de Recherches Institut of the ONU (UNITAR), New York, and the Institut des Hautes Etudes Internationales of the University of Paris. He was a Legal Counsel at the Legal Service of the European Commission (Brussels) and, later, Main Legal Counsel of the Unit “Justice, Freedom, Safety. Private Law, Criminal Law”. |

Virginia Pardo Iranzo She is a Tenured University Professor of Procedural Law at the Universitat de Valeància and graduated and doctor in law by this university. She has completed research stays at the universities of Freiburg, Florence, Geneva, New York and London, and teaching stays at the universities of Warsaw (Poland) and Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia). Regarding her research activity, she is author of five monographies in solitary and has been member of sis research projects, five of them about European procedural issues. Nowadays she is principal researcher of the project “Cap a un nou espai europeu de Justícia: reconeixement mutu, aproximació de legislacions i e-justícia”; and she is also Head of Initiative of the Office of the Vice-Principal for Territorial Projection and Participation of the Universitat de València. |

María Elena Cobas Cobiella She is professor at the department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of the Universitat de València. She became doctor by this university with the thesis titled: "El albaceazgo” (The executorship). Her main research lines are immigration, health law, inheritance law, educative innovation, and gender equality. We highlight among her publications: "La intermediación hipotecaria en sede de ejecuciones hipotecarias: luces y sombras sobre la cuestión" or "A propósito de la mediación familiar intrajudicial: una sentencia pionera". As a professor she teaches at the degree of Law and at the master's degree of Mediation, Arbitration and Conflict Management in Private Law by the Universitat de València. |

Dr. Vicente Roca Velasco He directed five doctoral thesis within his research area, taxonomy, ecology and phylogeography of the reptiles and amphibian parasitic. He published more than 100 research articles in international and national journals. He participated in numerous European, national and regional research projects, some of them related with the recovery of species in danger of extinction. He was also involved in the Teaching Innovation project developed at the Faculty of Biological Sciences of the Universitat de València. He is member of several scientific societies. |
Dr. Vicente Roca Velasco
És Catedràtic de Zoologia en el Departament de Zoologia de la Universitat de València. Va ser Degà de la Facultat de Ciències Biològiques en el període 2006-2011. Va ser Director del Departament de Biologia Animal (1999-2002) i Director del Departament de Zoologia (2002-2005) Vicepresident (1993-1998) i President (1998-2005) de l'Associació Herpetológica Espanyola. Editor de la Revista Espanyola d'Herpetologia (1993-1998). Membre de la Junta Directiva de la Conferència Espanyola de Degans de Biologia (2009-2011).
Ha dirigit cinc tesi doctorals en el seu camp d'investigació, la taxonomia, ecologia i filogeografia dels paràsits de rèptils i amfibis. Ha publicat més de 100 articles d'investigació en revistes internacionals i nacionals. Ha participat en nombrosos projectes d'investigació europeus, nacionals i regionals, alguns d'ells relacionats amb la recuperació d'espècies en perill d'extinció. Ha estat involucrat en el projecte d'Innovació Docent desenrotllat en la Facultat de Ciències Biològiques de la Universitat de València. És membre de diverses societats científiques.
