ClioViz presents a study at the INTED2025 conference on the usability of historical data visualizations, analyzing the perception of Data Science and Art History students regarding the CER.es catalog.

Presentation accepted at INTED2025!

We are pleased to announce that our presentation titled "USABILITY EVALUATION FOR DATA VISUALISATION OF CULTURAL HERITAGE" has been accepted as a virtual presentation at the 19th International Conference on Technology, Education and Development (INTED2025), held in Valencia. The study, conducted by E. Villuendas, L. Targa, A. Solbes, I. Coma, J. Sebastián, and C. Portalés, addresses advanced historical data visualization through multidimensional maps and interactive charts.

The research focuses on how two groups of students (Data Science and Art History) interact with graphics representing data from the CER.es catalog, specifically regarding altarpieces. Using tools such as Python, Matplotlib, and Plotly, the effectiveness of Sankey diagrams and choropleth maps was evaluated, concluding that while technical profiles manage complexity better, intuitive visualizations are key to heritage dissemination.
