This congress, organised by the Conservation Area for Cultural Heritage of the University of Valencia, will be held in the Faculty of Geography and History on 12, 13 and 14 November, 2013.

It is addressed to students, graduates and professionals in the different disciplines that affect and have responsibilities about the study, cataloging, conservation, restoration and dissemination of the artistic cultural heritage: historians, architects, heritage technicians, artists, artisans, etc. Also is open for journalists, cultural agents and the general public interested in these issues.

These conferences and workshops aim to show the forms and possibilities of intervention on cultural goods and the necessary relation between the study and contributions of the History of Art “to know to recognise”, as well as the different materials, techniques, jobs and works related to its production, and whose knowledge is essential and necessary for the proper rehabilitation of works and spaces.

In this sense, this congress wants to divulgate the works done by professionals of great prestige, presenting some exemplary interventions on cultural heritage.

In the framework of the congress also is raised a vital reflection about the studies of History of Art and its renewal.
