With this exhibition project, Mavi Escamilla presents her works of the period between the years 2007 and 2010 under a common denominator of black and white. This is a show composed by drawings and painting with crayons and Indian ink.
The exhibition collects fifty pieces framed within the world of Mr and Mrs B, a place for sarcasm and irony in the modern life through the study of the image from the cinematographic representations and classical works of art history. The works of three different series will be shown in the “B World”: “Slaves”, “idolisers” and “sale”, in where money, the sexualised women’s figure and violence becomes into the B face of the world that leaves one door open to hope with the series “BANG!”.
