The startup incubated by AgrotecUV Uhmamix 3S Foods collaborated this past Saturday with LINEEX to analyze its highlighted product Powmix. It is an energy product aimed at athletes and people who take care of their daily diet. The participants in the experiment were able to evaluate the product in order to identify the target, adapt it to their preferences and establish the optimal price. Currently, Uhmamix 3S Foods is experiencing exponential growth and plans to close its investment round in February. In addition, as a launch of the brand, it will be possible to obtain its products through its website and in different cities in Spain soon.
Uhmamix 3S Foods, the startup led by entrepreneur and pastry-chocolate chef Javier Pérez, specializes in the creation of 100% plant-based healthy foods, offering an innovative alternative to ultra-processed foods. Seeing the opportunity to accelerate his company, he participated in the 1st AgrotecUV Call, the high-tech incubator in sustainable agri-food of the University of Valencia and the Science Park of the University of Valencia. In the first year of the incubation program, Uhmamix 3S Foods has received business guidance and personalized scientific-technical advice provided by the program itself. This has allowed it to improve and develop the product, reaching validation and scaling phases. According to Pérez, the crucial contribution came from the interaction with the scientific-technical and business team of AgrotecUV, headed by Giuseppe Meca and Isidre March, respectively. Pérez emphasizes, “the project that was introduced at the beginning has nothing to do with the current stage in which we find ourselves,” highlighting the importance of the support provided.
Consequently, it is worth highlighting one of the great milestones achieved this year by Uhmamix 3S Foods through its participation in the AgrotecUV program, the signing of an agreement with an important industrial partner. Pérez declares: “We have managed to develop our product in a pilot plant, jointly scaling our business model with a more global industrial vision.”
This past Saturday and as part of the incubator program, the startup tested its flagship product at the Laboratory of Experimental and Behavioral Economics of the UV (LINEEX), under the commercial brand Powmix, an energy product, aimed at athletes and the daily lives of people who take care of their diet. During the session, attendees were able to try their first product that mixes the best of fresh fruit, along with nuts, seeds or legumes and organic vegetables, without additions or additives in two formats: a spreadable cream with a creamier texture and a cream drinkable in a “pouch” format with a more liquid texture and easy to transport.
As Penélope Hernández, director of LINEEX, explains to us, “LINEEX allows us to know the public's opinion on a product, identify the target and market segment, adapt it to their preferences, or establish a pricing strategy.” The service offered by LINEEX is part of the AgrotecUV program and is available to startups selected within its incubation and acceleration program. This allows the product developed by the startups to be tested to explore the real behavior of the consumer and identify the variables that influence their purchasing decisions.
Currently, Uhmamix 3S Foods is experiencing exponential growth and plans to close its investment round in February. Furthermore, as a launch of the brand, it will soon be possible to obtain its tasty, energetic and healthy products through its website and in different cities in Spain, soon.
