A seminar focused on creating coaches with attendants such as Alejandro Vaquera, Joan Cortés and Berni Rodríguez. UV students and club coaches will have a reduced inscription fee.
Sunday 27 October 9:00-14:00 in L’Alqueria del Basket’s central court, coaching experts will share their vast knowledge on different areas. The event will be both broadcasted and in person. The goal is to provide strategies and resources in this area focusing on sport education and elite sport.

The seminar will start with Alejandro Vaquera‘s talk, current Global Fitness head in FIBA’s Referee Department. He’s a doctor in Sport and Fitness Science, and head basketball coach with vast experience in physical training, coaching, sport management and conferences. His first session will be How to improve basketball oriented exercises and work on my physical abilities with them.
Next in line is Joan Cortés, graduate in Sport and Fitness Science, PE Teaching and basketball coach. He’s been head of training of the Catalan Federation for six years, and has also been coach of the Male Mini of FCBQ and basketball coach for several clubs in different categories. Cortés will be in charge of the second session Practice for the efficient use of bounce.
Last but not least Berni Rodríguez will be the third guest. Head basketball coach, special PE Teacher, Andalusian Federation’s school of coaches’ teacher, Rodríguez was also coach of the Unicaja academy from 1980 to 2010 and is the technical head of Academia 675. His talk will be: Introduction to phase defense in minibasketball.
Inscription and payment
