The Crystal Growth and Semiconductor Characterisation Group (CRECYCSEM) of the Universitat de València is preparing to hold a major Scientific Meeting on Advanced Materials for New Technologies.

The conference, organised by M. Carmen Martínez, Adelaida Huerta, Vicente Marín, Esther de Prado, Lluís M. Guia, Saïd Agouram, Francisco Estellés and Antonia Atencia, is a testimony to the commitment of the group with the advances in the area of materials science.

Prominent speakers coming from renown institutions from all over Spain will share their experience during the event. The list includes Càndid Reig Escrivà (Universitat de València), J. Ramón Ramos Barrado (University of Málaga), Celia Polop Jordá (Autonomous University of Madrid), Adrián Hierro Cano (Polytechnic University of Madrid), Juan Jiménez López (University of Valladolid) and Paloma Fernández Sánchez (Complutense University of Madrid).

One of the featured aspects of the conference will be the celebration of 60th birthday of the professor Vicente Muñoz Sanjosé. This highlights the importance of the event not only as a platform for scientific exchange, but also as a tribute to a distinguished figure from the research field. The meeting will be held on 30 May 2016 in Valencia.
