Digipol members chaired multiple panels and work sessions

The XVII congress of the Spanish Political Science Association (AECPA) was held at the University of Burgos between 22-24 July. The motto of the conference was "Democracy in the face of multilevel challenges".

In this edition, several Digipol members participated in the presentation of books, the organization of panels, and holding various round tables.

Ramón Villaplana and Oscar Barberà were the discussants of three panels chaired by Gema Sánchez Medero (UCM) and Patricia Correa (Aston) entitled "The organizational reconfiguration of the right in southern Europe". In these panels, several presentations dedicated to analyzing the transformation of the Non-State Wide Right-Wing parties in Spain were highlighted such as those of UPN by Javier Antón and Sergio Pérez Castaños, CC by Alberto Javier Báez García and Francisco Flores Coalición, JxCat by Adrià Momó, the PI by Jordi Bonet and Aina Roca, the PNV by Jonatan García and Eider Elorka, Forum Asturias by Alberto Díaz Montiel. They also highlighted several papers focused on programmatic and discursive aspects of the parties.

In addition, Patricia Correa and Oscar Barberà presented the edited volume "La nueva izquierda autonomica en España" of which they are coordinators and which was published by the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales.

For their part, Astrid Barrio and Asbel Bohigues also took part in several round tables and book presentations.
