María Jesús García is associate professor of Administrative Law and directs a Jean Monnet chair and module

Professor María Jesús García García joins the DIGIPOL research group as a collaborator with the aim of developing a line of research she is carrying out within the framework of the Jean Monnet’s Module  “Citizens´ integration into European Union Democracy” (101047164 – CitEUdem)  that she directs and which has been granted within the framework of the Erasmus + program of the European Union in its 2021 call.

Professor María Jesús García's research focuses on the study of new forms of citizen participation fostered by the use and development of new digital technologies and their impact on the strengthening of the democratic rights of European citizens.

By incorporating it into this research group, Module Director Jean Monnet aims to create synergies with other researchers, as well as create links and research networks that increase the results of research on digital technology and democracy.
