PPDIGITRANS
The project aims to investigate the digitization of parties and party leaders, as well as other types of democratic adaptations and innovations in these organizations, such as primaries and internal consultations.
The project is financed by the Spanish Ministry of Universities, through funds from the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan of the Government of Spain, and by the European Commission, through NextGenerationEU funds, being granted by the University of Murcia for a three-year period (2022-2024).
The first two years have allowed F. Ramón Villapla to carry out a postdoctoral stay at the European School of Political and Social Sciences (ESPOL) of the Universidad Católica de Lille (France). The third and last year of this project is carried out in the DIGIPOL group of the University of Valencia, under the supervision of Professor Oscar Barberà.
As part of this research, F. Ramón Villaplana has participated in numerous international events, such as the general conferences and joint sessions of the ECPR, UACES, ALICE and Politicologenetmaal congresses, as well as other important national congresses such as those of the Spanish Association of Political Science (AECPA) and workshops in London, Glasgow and Valencia. Some of the results of this project have already been published in journals such as Party Politics, Frontiers in Political Science, the Revista de Estudios Políticos del CEPC or Data in Brief, while other publications are in progress and under evaluation.
