The present doctoral programme has an evident academic interest given the fact that, since the implementation of the level of degree in the Physiotherapy qualification, the graduates have the opportunity to continue their academic training through the specialisation thanks to the master’s degree, and finally to reach the qualification of doctor by means of the doctoral programme in Physiotherapy. Likewise, in the scientific-professional field its relevance is obvious, since, for society, it becomes essential the figure of professionals who not only apply the different tools Physiotherapy offers them to prevent and treat injuries or pathologies in people, but are capable of generating knowledge in the profession from a scientific and technical point of view.
