30th Anniversary of the UV Philharmonic Orchestra
Face-to-face

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the foundation of the University Orchestra, ten solidary concerts will be held.

The UV Philharmonic Orchestra, founded in 1995 by Cristóbal Soler to assemble all the instrumental groups formed by students, celebrates this year its 30th anniversary with an initial programme which includes ten concerts with four different themes: the 9th symphony of Beethoven, the university programme Música als Campus, the Requiem of Mozart and Carmen Suite of Shchedrin.

At the moment, its chief conductor is Hilari Garcia Gázquez. Up until now, The Orchestra has offered 330 concerts in whose it has interpreted 400 pieces for an annual public of more than 8,500 people; 1,440 musicians have played, with an average age of 20 and whose instruction goes up to more than 250 hours per year; and has visited cities such as Barcelona, Zaragoza, León, Vienna y Salzburg (Austria), Belfort (France) y Ljubljana (Slovenia).

For this concerts in honour of its 30th anniversary, held between 15 February and 24 June, are strongly committed to make it accessible for people with hearing disabilities and to be solidary with people affected by the DANA through Aids for the recovery of the Universitat de València post-DANA.
