The double degree creates professionals who understand the relation between food and physical exercise as key elements to improve our well-being, our physical performance and our quality of life. It incorporates assessment competences of the nutritional state and body composition, the elaboration of diet plans for different visual stages and clinical situations, the assessment of physical conditions, prescription of exercise aimed at health and performance, design and management of physical activity programmes, prevention of injuries and promotion of active life styles.
The double degree creates professionals capable of assessing the nutritional and physical state, designing personalised plans of food and exercise, preventing injuries and promoting healthy lifestyles, by answering to an increasing demand in health centres, sport clubs, clinical research and programmes of well-being and physical performance.
- Sports nutrition and performance: nutritional assessment to sports of high performance, technical teams of sport clubs, and technification centres
- Health and integral well-being: health centres, clinics, combined programmes of diet and exercise for prevention/treatment of diseases
- Sports management: Sports facilities, programmes of physical activity for specific groups
- Collective catering and health institutions: food services with component of physical assessment
- Teaching: physical education and/or nutrition (it requires the Master’s Degree in Secondary Education in Teacher Training)
- Research: both scientific areas, with the possibility of continuing in masters such as the one in Nutrition in Physical Activity and Sport Management
- Entrepreneurship: wellness and fitness centres, comprehensive consultancy
