The Faculty of Economics celebrates on Friday, 26 September, 2025 the 10th Tourism Forum, inside the framework of the World Tourism Day, that is commemorated on 27 September according to the United Nations official calendar.

This years motto is «Tourism and Sustainable Transformation», with which it pretends to highlight the role of tourism in sustainable transformation, both environmental and socioeconomic, as well as the integration of innovation, the inclusion and resilience before global challenges such as climate change and digitalisation.

The Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València offers the Degree in Tourism, the Double Degree in Tourism-ADE and the Master's Degree in Tourism Management and Planning. On their part, the Institute of International Economics, offers the Doctoral Studies in International Economics and Tourism. In this sense we count with a valuable personnel of professors and researchers around the touristic sector, from disciplines so diverse such as economy, marketing or new technologies, to name some. It is therefore for this reason that we consider ourselves an idyllic field from which give academic solvency to the reflections about tourism.

The Tourism Forum aims to reach two goals:

• Consolidating in the UV-FdE and specifically at the undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate studies in Tourism as an academic referent inside the sector.
• Familiarising students with the most relevant companies and institutions from the touristic sector, as well as making them part of the most recent areas of reflection and research.

forTUR_VLC has turned to be effectively a reference space in the academic field of tourism for our territory. The event takes in the same forum researchers, companies, institutions and interested students in the touristic sector.
