DESCRIPTION

The course Que no te den seta por liebre. Introduction to country mycology offers a basic approximation to mycology, specilally centred in the differential features that allow the identification of edible mushrooms in the Mediterranean ecosistem of the Iberian East.

During the room session, fundamental theoric issues will be tackled such as the difference between fungus and mushrooms, the recognition of edible species, their habitat, and the use of keys for their identification. This training will be complemented with country trip, where students will be abke to observe over the earth a representative view of the most characteristic mushrooms in our forests.
