Desembre Europeu 2025 celebrates its 11th edition between 1 and 20 December under the motto 'Memory and Future. 40 years of Spain in the EU', Universitat de València Escena Erasmus UV theatre project presenting its autonomical tour in collaboration with Culture General Headquarters-GVA, which will bring the play 'Un instant de bellesa' ('An instance of beauty') to València, Castellón and Alicante on 10, 11 and 12 December respectively.

'An instance of beauty' is the first spectacle addressing the DANA tragedy of 29 October 2024 as well as other recent disasters such as wildfires and earthquakes of Italy. The play explores desolation and flashes of light amidst water, mud, fire and dust until a rebirth comes to be.

The script is written by authors that were affected one way or another by these disasters, and played by eight Valencian and Erasmus students: Carles Alberola, Carmen Amoraga, Máximo Huerta, Maria Andrés, Joaquín Camps, Marta Toso, Jaime Millás, Sara Olivas, Sergio Serrano and Anna Marí.

The play's director is Josep Valero, along with dramaturgy coordinator Daniel Tormo, accompanied over 7300 people for 3000 kilometers, the distance covered by the European theatre project Escena Eramus UV for two months of tour across 16 cities and municipalities of the Valencian Community.

And now, the autonomical tour of Descembre Europeu 2025 will bring the play to its final performances.
