
Online information sessions on doctoral studies and research at FORTHEM universities: programs, admission conditions, and an open Q&A session.
Are you interested in pursuing a PhD or completing a research stay at one of the universities that form part of the FORTHEM Alliance? Whether you already know which doctoral programme you would like to join or are still undecided, these online information sessions are for you.
Representatives from the doctoral schools of each of the nine partner universities will present their respective research environments, working conditions and application procedures. The sessions will also conclude with a question-and-answer segment during which you will be able to raise any questions you may have.
Who can participate?
Bachelor’s and Master’s students, PhD candidates, postdoctoral researchers, early-stage researchers, as well as academic and administrative staff from the nine FORTHEM partner universities (and also from other institutions).
What is the programme?
The three information sessions will take place from 12:30 to 13:30 (CET) and will follow the same schedule:
12:30 – 13:15: Presentations by the 3 participating universities
13:15 – 13:30: Question-and-answer session
Where will the sessions take place?
The sessions will be held online via MS Teams. The link to attend each session will be sent by email a few days before the scheduled date.

Registration will be open until 5 May at 12:00 (CET).
20 May 2026, featuring:
- University of Burgundy, France
- University of Valencia, Spain
- Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany
Registration will be open until 19 May at 12:00 (CET).
2 June 2026, featuring:
- University of Agder, Norway
- Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu, Romania
- University of Opole, Poland
