Dates: 20th - 24th November 2025. Venue: University of Valencia. Title: “Blue Action: Environmental Volunteering and Ocean Awareness in Valencia”.
Are you interested in environmental protection, ocean literacy, beach cleanups, youth education and community engagement? If you win this scholarship, you will take part in hands-on initiatives aimed at raising awareness about marine ecosystems, the importance of sustainability, and the impact of human activity on the environment. Students from all FORTHEM partner universities other than the University of Valencia may apply.
This activity is carried out by BIOagradables, a non-profit association with more than ten years of experience in environmental volunteering actions on the Valencian coast.
Programme of the week
- 20th November (morning): Arrival
- 20th November (afternoon): Welcome and orientation, intro to Marine Ecosystems and BIOagradables
- 21st November: School cleanup and talk
- 22nd November: Community Engagement Day with NGO “Gente Joven”
- 23rd November: Local Community Beach Cleanup & Waste Data Collection
- 24th November: Farewell and departure
Funding
There are six FORTHEM scholarships to cover part of your travel, accommodation and living costs.
