ForthemUV Seventh Erasmus Summer School of Physics gets underway

“Ideas that come true”

Under the motto “Ideas that come true”, the Seventh Erasmus Summer School in Physics (E3F) began yesterday and will be held from 8 to 12 September 2025 at the Faculty of Physics of the Universitat de València. Aimed at undergraduate students of Physics and other STEM fields, the School offers an intensive five-day programme combining lectures, round tables, and educational and leisure activities in an inclusive, participatory environment.

In the context of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology, the programme will feature talks by experts in Theoretical and Applied Physics, as well as contributions from young researchers, students, and guest speakers. Participants are welcome to present their own contributions and actively participate in the dynamic exchange of ideas at the School.

As part of the Erasmus initiative, the School will host faculty and students from Jyväskylä (Finland), Johannes Gutenberg Mainz (Germany), Palermo (Italy), and Riga (Latvia), all belonging to the FORTHEM Alliance. Sessions will be conducted in English, promoting international exchange.

The School is organised as a BIP (Blended Intensive Programme) and participants from the Universitat de València and partner universities may earn 3 ECTS credits.

The School's organising committee is made up of professors, researchers and Physics students from the Faculty: Rebeca Beltrán, Parmenio Boronat, Jorge Cervantes, Aitana Cortés, Iván García Blanes, Alejandro García Ten, Anna Garrigues, Marc Girona, Mª Jesús Hernández, Pau Hostalet, José María Martí, Víctor Martín, Emma Rebollar, Paula Romero, Gonzalo Sánchez and Marina Sendra.
