IMPaCT-GENóMICA is one of the three Pillars of the IMPaCT Programme (Predictive Medicine, Data Science and Genomic Medicine), promoting the establishment of an infrastructure based on research-based technologies, coordinated with the National Health System.

Multicentre study (8 research groups) to validate the prevention of ADRs with pharmacogenetic biomarkers involved and of therapeutic failure in 3,500 patients across 7 autonomous communities, treated with drugs used in prevalent diseases which are either hard to handle and/or of high cost for the NHS (mental and cardiovascular health, including primary care). The goal of the Scourge project was to search for risk genomic biomarkers with predisposition to suffer a severe infection due to SARS-CoV-2, causing agent of COVID-19, as well as the response of the planned drugs for its treatment with the purpose of having an immediate impact in the clinical handling and therapeutic decisions of infections due to SARS-CoV-2.
