The formal creation of this group is a response to the growing demand of specialised studies job positions, and practical guidance in the field of human rights, peace and sustainable development. . These studies and positions are asked to provide new courses of action and to suggest effective protection mechanisms and ensure rights in different fields as a response to the challenges that society faces. There exists a broad social conscience about the need to dive deeper into the idea of the indivisibility and interdependency of Human Rights. This is a response to the to global issues that are destroying humanity, such as wars, underdevelopment and the wild and indiscriminate exploitation of natural resources.

Society demands that we adopt a perspective that prioritises the full realization and fulfilment of all rights for all human beings and that we emphasise not only economic growth, but also development that is truly human and sustainable (focused on meeting people's basic needs). From this perspective, we can contribute to building peace on a local scale (in countries devastated by conflicts of all kinds) and on a global scale. In other words, peace, development, and the effectiveness of rights can only be achieved if we stand united.
