The overall objective of the session is to bring students closer to the social, legal and human reality of gender violence through the testimony of victims, the intervention of support professionals and the perspective of the security forces, promoting comprehensive training with a focus on human rights and gender.
Specifically, the aim is to:
- Understand the social, psychological and legal dimensions of gender-based violence, beyond its regulatory treatment.
- Listen to and reflect on the testimonies of victims and survivors, developing empathy and awareness of the real consequences of violence and the judicial process.
- Analyse the functioning of the criminal justice and protection system, based on the practical experience of the specialised police, the Public Prosecutor's Office and the entities that accompany victims.
- Identify the main challenges and shortcomings in institutional care, investigation and prosecution of cases of gender-based violence.

Encourage critical thinking and professional commitment, promoting the search for solutions and best practices from the perspective of social justice and gender equality
