The Master’s Degree in Human Rights, Democracy and International Justice has programmed at the Cinefòrum the screening of the documentary Ocupación SA. The film is the portrait of a betrayal. With a meticulous and original approach, the documentary exposes the names and surnames of the Spanish businessmen and politicians involved in the economic exploitation of Western Sahara, the last African colony and one of the most violent, militarised and censored territories of the world. The testimonies gathered in the documentary also reveal the chain of lies and silencing that begins at the European centres of power and end at the cities occupied by Morocco, where Sahrawi men and women resist the plunder and the denial of their rights.
After the screening, a colloquium will take place with Juan Soroeta, professor of International Public Law and International Relations at the University of the Basque Country, and Shaba Messaud Lo-Ghadi, representative member of the Polisario Front in Europe.
