IDH researcher Maite Alemany has received the Manuel Castillo 2023 Award for her monograph entitled ‘Violence against women in disasters, pandemics and other humanitarian emergencies’.
Researcher at the Institut de Drets Humans, Maria Teresa Alemany Jordán has received the Manuel Castillo 2023 Award for her monograph entitled ‘La violencia contra las mujeres en los desastres, pandemias y otras emergencias humanitarias’ (Violence against women in disasters, pandemics and other humanitarian emergencies).
The Manuel Castillo Awards aim to stimulate academic and journalistic research in the field of cooperation and human development. They aim to promote and encourage the results of research and the orientation of its written or audiovisual expression to be directly related to development cooperation, providing knowledge, revealing capacities or denouncing aggressions to human rights and human and sustainable development.
