3rd "Reading is a Right" Conference, organized by IDHUV in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Books and the Promotion of Reading of the Ministry of Culture.
The event will take place in Llanes (Asturias) on September 9th and 10th.
This year, the focus is on access to reading, with the participation of a wide and diverse range of speakers: authors, independent publishers, bookstores, mobile libraries, journalists, legal experts, educators, professional associations, and accessibility specialists.
Over the course of two days, there will be conferences, round tables, book clubs, interviews, and debates addressing the following topics:
- Reading in vulnerable communities
- Reading spaces: libraries, schools, bookstores
- Bibliodiversity and access to different formats
- The role of publishers, booksellers, illustrators, translators, and reading mediators
