With the creation of the University Institute of Patrimonial Law – Patrimonium, the Universitat de València has taken a solid step forward towards cementing legal research within the context of Patrimonial Law. This academic structure is the first of its kind in Spain and its focuses on studying Patrimonial Law in many different disciplines. Through its rules and institutions, people’s economic activity is carried out and organised.

Thanks to the collaboration between researchers from five different departments of the Universitat de València’s Faculty of Law over 25 years, this upcoming institute is formed by a well-established team. The goal of this proposal is to transform a previous trajectory into a stable structure that strengthens research, knowledge transfer and education in our region.

By creating the Institute of Patrimonial Law, the Universitat de València is betting on a holistic, international and transformative vision of Patrimonial Law, incorporating key elements such as digitalisation, sustainability and global governance.
