The Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València, through the Chair for International Finance - Banco Santander of the Universitat de València, and its Commission for Cooperation with Secondary Schools, has organised, for the course 2023-2024, the 4th edition of the contest ‘Financial Culture’. This contest is based on the presentation of a 3 minute video where one of the financial themes proposed in its rules is addressed from a didactic approach and with simple language. 

Through the contest 'Financial Culture' it is intended to foment and promote financial culture and teamwork among young people. This way, we reward initiative and creativity of the students that are enrolled in one of the two last courses of the ESO or in one of the two courses of Bachillerato in the Valencian Community. 

In this 4th call, a total of 60 videos have been submitted: 30 in the Bachillerato category and 30 in the ESO category, students of 17 centres of Alacant, Castelló and València. All of them are available in: https://ir.uv.es/B0cZmWN

The Jury, that has evaluated the 60 proposals submitted, has decided to award the following videos: 

In the category of Bachillerato:

• 1st Prize: "Historia del dinero”, IES Francesc Ferrer i Guardia. Made by Guillem Pardo Antón and Itzá Arizpe Grau, and directed by Cristina Gasó Ponce.
• 2nd Prize: "¿Cómo afecta el fenómeno de la concentración bancaria en nuestro país?” submitted by IES Francesc Ferrer i Guardia, made by Roma Lagos Nieto, Pablo Cobo del Prado Jovani i Arnau Gasó García, and directed by Cristina Gasó Ponce.

In the category of ESO:

• 1st Prize: "¡Si en 'La casa de papel' hubieran sabido cultura financiera!" submitted by Colegio Jesús-María. Made by María Ruiz Navarro, Amparo Román Sancho i Gabriel Román Sancho, and directed by Teresa Estruch Camarena.
• 2nd Prize: "Educación financiera para jóvenes” submitted by IES Francesc Ferrer i Guardia. Made by Carlos Gómez Sinrana and Andreu Diaz Zuriaga, and directed by Silvia Aparisi Requena.

The winner videos will be projected and presented by the teams the day that the Faculty of Economics celebrates the "World Savings Day".
