On 9 and 10 May, a workshop on digital transformation and integration of citizens in EU democracy was held, with the participation of students from different nationalities.

The workshop reviewed the importance of the open data to improve the level of interest and engagement of the citizens with the European Union. It lasted 10 hours in total (1 ECTS credit). It was attended by Forthem students from different nationalities such as Italy, France, Finnland, as well as students of the University Extension Course Citizens´ Integration into European Union Democracy  and bachelor and master students of the University.

The workshop was given by the professor of Administrative Law of the University of Valencia, Mª Jesús García García, director of the Jean Monnet Unit Citizens’ integration into European Union democracy. There was also a lecture given by Angela Maria Romitto, Associate Professor of European Union Law at the Universitá degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro (Italy).

The workshop was organised by the Jean Monnet Citizens’. Integration into European Union Democracy Unit (Project 101047164– CitEUdem) in collaboration with the Faculty of Law of the UV and the University Alliance Forthem.
