Algorithmical Law: Algorithmic decisions, implications, and challenges

UPF hosts a conference on algorithmic decisions and AI in public and private law, organized alongside the Prometeu research team.

On December 9th, 2021, the Pompeu Fabra University (Barcelona) will host an international workshop to discuss the legal ramifications of artificial intelligence and algorithmic governance.

Program Highlights:

  • AI in the Public Sector: Legal frameworks and guarantees in public procurement and smart cities, featuring Julio Tejedor Bielsa (U. Zaragoza) and Clara Velasco Rico (UPF).

  • Digital Rights & Consumer Protection: Insights into the Digital Services Act (DSA) and contractual issues with Esther Arroyo (UB) and Fernando Gómez Pomar (UPF).

  • Opening the "Black Box": Technical and legal perspectives on AI learning processes and explainability by Rafa Ballester-Ripoll (IE) and Anders Jonsson (UPF).

The event includes a specialized working session for the Prometeu research project team.
