Professor Vladimir Martínez Bello participated last Tuesday, 7 June at the 7th edition: Escoles Rurals i Sostenibilitat, organised by the Cefire de Xàtiva.

The slogan of this edition was “El future de l’educació sostenible al món rural” (The future of sustainable education at the rural world). Rural schools are much more than educational centres. They are community, territory, identity… and they are a natural lab for a sustainable and living education that is deeply connected to the territory. These sessions invite attendants to discover all the transformative potential of the CRA and of the rural schools that work every day for a fairer, healthier, and more sustainable future. A unique meeting to discover real experiences, share successful practices and get inspired with professionals who are changing the way to educate from the heart of our towns.

Professor Martínez Bello shared with the school community the raison d’être of the EVEREST project, as well as some provisional results from the first year of the project. We thank the organising committee of the edition, and particularly to the director Antonio Pérez, for the opportunity to share our project with the rural school community of the Community of Valencia.
