The Literary Geographies (GEOLIT) group stands out for its interdisciplinary nature. The vast majority of its members come from the field of language and literary didactics, mainly linked to the Department of Language and Literature Teaching of the UV. Among the collaborators of the group, there are members of the Universitat de València (Departments of Experimental and Social Sciences Teaching and Classical Philology), as well as representatives of different universities of the Vives Network (UB, UA, UIB, URV and Florida Secondary and University Education Centre), linked to the UV through different innovative projects ‘Literary Geographies 3.0.’
The group focuses on the knowledge of the social and natural environment, in the configuration of attitudes and the generation of emotions, affecting a literary education oriented to the territory. It aims to promote knowledge and practice of literary tours – real and virtual – in educational contexts. The proposals link literature to the territory, with particular attention to gender perspective, and allow reflection on the didactic practice of literary tours.
