Dr. Duvra Mindek (december 2024 to january 2025)

She holds a PhD in Anthropology. Originally from Croatia, she studied ethnology and Spanish philology at the University of Zagreb. Since 1986 she has been living in Mexico, where she did postgraduate studies at the National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico City. She is currently a research professor at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos (Mexico). She is a member of the National System of Researchers and belongs to the consolidated academic body (equivalent to the research group) “Social and cultural studies: (in) equity and diversity”. Dr. Midek has focused on gender, family, marriage and migration studies in rural and post-indigenous contexts in Mexico.
