PowercoUV Chair was established as a result of the collaboration agreement between PowerCo Battery Spain, S.A.U. and the Universitat de València, which was approved by the Consell de Govern on February 10, 2025 (ACGUV 32/2025). Under the acronym of powercochair, this initiative constitutes a permanent platform for cooperation in the study, analysis and transfer of knowledge in the field of battery technologies and innovation related to the energy sector.
The aim of the Chair is to promote advanced research, strengthen connections between academic and business worlds and encourage specialised training in this strategic field. Supporting Mater's degree final projects, carrying out both independent and sponsored research, developing internship policies for university students, and collaborating with educational programmes such as Battery Technologies Master's degree (MBATT), are among the main objectives of the Chair. Additionally, it promotes educational activities, meetings with experts, cooperation on research projects, and scientific transfer and dissemination activities.
For its first year of operation, the Chair plans an active programme of activities aimed at dissemination and generating educational and social impact. These activities include organising knowledge transfer conferences, promoting awards for Undergraduate degree final projects and Master's degree final projects, offering a specialised course on batteries and developing a business case study. This amount of initiatives strengthens its commitment to talent promotion, innovation and technological progress in a sector of growing importance.
